The CE Academy careers provision aims to support you with decisions regarding your future. We want to prepare you academically and socially for your future, after you leave us at the end of year 11, whether that is at college or in employment.
Currently the retirement age is 68, so that is a long time after you leave before you can draw your pension! We want to make sure that you are doing something that interests you and suits your skills and strengths. We will help you do this through PACC lessons, 1:1 career guidance sessions and getting external agencies in to speak with you.
One of the best tools you can use to help you to make decisions about your future is Kudos, which is an online platform that enables our students to discover more about specific careers. There are quizzes that will highlight specific skills or qualities that students have and what jobs might suit them best. This is then linked to job and apprenticeships searches and college courses in the local area.
